we missed all the spring shows due to all kinds of crap. Nate working 7 days a week, money, truck, illnesses lol. Its been crazy. Hope fall works out better for us. Got alot of work between now and then. Havent worked the dogs much all spring they are all fat and being lazy. Since my health is doing better im going to start working with them again as soon as i get a break from my son's baseball season. He is having 3 games a week and runs me to death lol. Going to start with Tai and see if I can get her back in shape first and try to make the bulldoggers fun show for hangtime at the end of may maybe lol. Then back to weight pull training and conditioning. Going to try Remi on the track again and see if she will try to use some of that drive she has found for a purpose. Still fighting with diamond to start the cart going to work on confidence with her I think thats her biggest problem she will pull a sled all day long but if you put her on a cart and its not empty and has some resistance to it she wont even attempt it. I fooled her at the beginning of the year by having her pull the sled down the track and then switching it out for the cart when she wasnt looking and what do you know she pulled it lol. Got alittle more work with chester as well on the track but he is doing good. Dont know what im going to do with houdini yet hes a mess. Bango im just gotta get him back inshape and he will be ready to go. Dixie I think is a lost cause but nate wont give up on her maybe he wont beat her to death lol. and as far as Yolanda I hope to try and get her back in her obidence and agility routine if i can get some time to set another agility coarse back up and get a chance to take her to a few classes. Still plan to breed Tai late spring if it works out for me. I can't wait for these puppies this litter will mean so much to me. Well thats about it around here and my late spring and summer plans.

well some of you all know the story behind this but for those of you that don't just ignore me lol but Warhead no longer lives with us due to alot of behavior issues that have in the last year gotten out of hand so he has went to live with a very good friend of ours that is renting one of our rent trailers so we can keep an eye on him and make sure he is being taken care of. He is now the only dog and still be an inside outside dog. His new family can give him the one on one attention that he so desperatly craves it was either this or we were going to have to put him down so hopefully this is his second change and he will become the dog he use to be......... I don't need any sarcastic remarks right now I feel bad enough my family has been torn apart but for our new baby sake and the sake of all involved this was the best thing for everyone.

Well I love networking, coding, music, linux, and servers.

So I added them all together and made a net radio station. Working on the site for it now but the foundation is there.

The station is shoutcast based.

Streaming off of a ubuntu server. Feeding off of a winXP server.

Starting to get really good with this kinda shit.

If your at work and dont have winamp or windowsmedia player installed? Fear not the web site has a custom coded built in webplayer. Awesome!

Allthough I do sugest useing winamp if your at home hosting a party. Some of the visuals on milkdrop are sick!

Set up a battlefield 2 server allso but more on that latter.

We have been unable to attend anymore shows for the rest of the year but we are getting geared up for the spring. Got our track finished and it has been great.

Bango has been doing it up like a pro can't wait to see him go at it this spring

Diamond has been getting a lot better since we got the track done

Chester we were thinking of rehoming now we are having second thoughts. He has always been a good puller and has always had good conformation but a good friend of ours has pretty muched talked us in to him staying

Houdini is doing well on the track as always might actually take him to some shows this spring.

Remi has been doing so well im proud. She has been pulling some on the track not like we would like her to but its a start.

Tai is back to her normal self. Doing absolutely fantastic. We are getting the muscle back on the girl now she'll be with us at the shows in the spring for sure

Dixie is still being stubborn dixie couldn't ask for anything different lol

Yolanda and Deigo are as spoilt as ever.

a week ago yesterday i took in two dogs, an American Bulldog, Diego, and another pit Bella. their previous owner of 3 years committed suicide.

i was originally only taking one, a neutered male- because the female is not fixed. but my friend that was going to take the female flaked out for whatever reason. thats fine.

as i get to know the dogs i don't think it would be right to separate them, they were raised together and are very obviously close.

these dogs are very intelligent, well behaved, well balanced. i am very happy with them.

i am working on socializing them with tyson which seems to be getting better. i am taking baby steps for my nerves and the dogs.

i asked a trainer friend of ine for help on the proper way to do this and she didn't respond to my plea.

so i got to reading books and researching online.

unfortunately with them being pitbulls i dont get much positive or hopeful or helpful advice so i am taking my own route with the help and inspiration of the dog whisperer, Cesar Millan.

i really like cesar and his methods. when i first heard of him my initial thought was an eye roll and that he was just making a quick buck off that movie the horse whisperer, until i listened to what he had to say-

as it turns out he approached dogs in much the same way as Monty Roberts approaches horses, and i am a huge Monty Robers fan from back in my equestrian years, training and showing horses of all breeds and disciplines. he took common sense with what we instinctually knows and puts it into words and formula- that works!

so i am following cesars way and slowly making conscious decisions and creating controlled situations in which i introduce and expose tyson with the new guys.

i am learning and so are the dogs every day.

i have a new favorite saying- "everytime you are with your dog, you are teaching him something. what has your dog learned from you today?"

i would like to say i made it up myself- but i actually think i heard it first from my friend joan in reference to a horse.

but i am straying from my point...

i have been keeping them seperated. tyson upstairs. diego and bella downstairs. i crate and rotate. i have two child barriers at the top and bottom of the stairs as extra safety precaution.

what matt (my boyfriend) and i have started doing this last week was walking them together. i with the two and he with tyson. we start out far away from eachother and the farther and more tired the dogs get we gradually get closer together until we find the point at which they begin to get distracted by eachother (not excited, but looking or turning to look) and we back off from that and gauge our distance so we can mark improvements.

we walk our dogs Cesar's Way.

this weekend (starting yesterday, i have fri sat and sun off) i have dedicated all my time to socializing, slowly. yesterday i had the two kenneled downstairs and tyson downstairs on leash at my side at the far end of the room. whenever he showed a negative interest in them, like staring or whining a gave a correction and Matt was with the two and did so as well until by the end of the day i could walk tru with tyson on leash by their kennel without any dogs paying attention to any other dog.

to me this was a great benchmark step. i was able to keep a calm controlled situation with the dogs in one room together wherre a week ago i had bark wars for an hour even when seperated by a whole story of the house!

we have been going on plenty of long excursions as a pack to keep all energy levels to a minimum, which isnt hard with the two as they are easly both 10 lbs overweight, tyson however is at almost peak performance and has stamina like no other....

i plan to have bella spayed and tyson neutered within the next thirty days to help with this and because I DO NOT WANT PUPPIES most importantly.

today i have taken it a step further only because i feel confident and secure matt and i have complete control of the situation.

today i moved tysons crate back downstairs at the opposite end of bella and diego.

i am crate and rotating one at a time.

i do not allow the dogs to stare down on another or get near a cage with negative energy, however positive, playful, or curious energy is allowed. they are all expressing calm and playful energy. whenever the energy shifts- a correction is given and the dog sent away to timeout at the opposite end of the room.

whereas a week ago a loose dog would have charged the kennel, right now i have thw two loose sleeping and tyson sleeping merely 6 feet away in his kennel.

oh while everyone was in a good mood, i introduced them "ass first" by that i mean escorting the dog to the others kennel, turing them around and let them sniff ass first, not noses, and took them away. i don't know if thats proper- but i been reading "never nose to nose" so why not ass to ass-?

i am pretty happy right now, and i plan to continue to very slowly work them together with lots of exercise, spaying neutering and slow safe socialization, even if it takes four years- i have the patience, and i refuse to believe that because of their breed and ages these 3 very fine dogs can't learn to get along, under supervision. i am fine with the thought that they may not ever be able to be left alone together- but supervised play is ok!

I am really loving the community here. I have learned alot more here than any were else. Even some of our most rowdy members have calmed down some.

The members here are the experts. I am New to the breed. But what I'm not new at is web design. So It works out great for me! I try to make this place pleasant and the members make it relevant. Imho MPBP has the most knowledgeable owners period and willing to help new ppl.

This site started out as just another pitbull site, but has progressed into something so much more.

It is now a knowledge base of ppl that are professionals in there field. No longer the casual pitbull site. You want to make your dog work, win, train? This is the best place for that. With most members being very active in the ADBA, UKC.

Could not of asked for a better out come.

Bango- doing really well in weight pull and being himself. Placed second at GA ADBA Show in 45 to 55lb males. Needs some work but it wont stop...

Bango- doing really well in weight pull and being himself. Placed second at GA ADBA Show in 45 to 55lb males. Needs some work but it wont stop raining long enough to get it in.

Tai- Recovering really really well. Ive put 2 more lbs on here since the adba show. She went to the show a little lighter and less conditioned than I would have liked but placed second in 3 to 5 year old females. I couldnt be happier with the results considering what shes been through and only having a month to get her ready

Remi- Is starting to really liven up. I am very pleased with her progress. She placed 3rd in 12 to 18 month old females at the ADBA show in Ga I was very pleased. Her drive has started to kick in so we will start working on convidence building weight pull techiques soon

Dixie- Is just dixie still my little escape artist and whiny baby as always. She did not place at the show but im still pleased with her. She did really well. I hope to start working with her more on the way she positions her back legs and on weight pull

Diamond- Is still having some problems starting the cart. She did not make a pull at the show but it was a good experience for her. The track is almost finish so I plan to start working with her more on a track enviroment along with alot more drag weight.

Yolanda- is being my baby girl like always. my little couch potatoe and teddybear. What more can I say she hasnt changed lol

Deigo- is doing well considering hes starting to get up there. I'm fixing to bring in back in side for the winter. Im afraid is old butt cant handle the cold like he use to. Time for him to live up to his nickname again (fat boy) lol He stays ripped up when hes out on a chain but when he comes it he turns into a pile of lard lol.

Houdini- is doing well and will make someone a great weightpull and stud dog. I am hoping to place him in the best hands possible in the future months to come

Chester- is also doing really well and starting to turn into a fine looking dog. He will also make somebody a good weight pull dog and stud but he also is looking really good for conformation as well. I also hope to place him in the best hands possible in the future months to come.
