What is something that you can get at most local stores that a 6 month old APBT wont tear up in 30 mins. I have tried all kinds of things so far what lasts the longest is huge pig ear twists but he dont care for them a whole lot he whould rather my shoes.
He loves jerky wrped rawhide but at 5 bucks a pop he does threw them in litteraly and hour. He love to chew and if i dont supply him with things to chew he goes after toilet paper, shoes, coat hangers, Pretty much any thing he can steal from the bathroom, remote controls, a psp (that one really pissed me off) ext

Tanner is only destructive to things that aren't his. My shoes and my daughters stuffed animals are still the favorite but he just takes those outside and slobbers all over them. I have a kong, rope toy, squeeky toy, wubba for the flirt pole, stuffed animal that is still intact from Easter. The only thing Tanner seems to destroy is any type of paper or plastic. He ate one of my fav shoes and finally I just gave in and gave him the pair.
I also use this outside or inside

and the everlasting treatball. As for normal store stuff, not sure. Quite a few people make their own toys.

HA HA thats what I did with Brian....he was tring and tring to get to my work shoes (which are dress shoes...not cheap) and one day he finially got them so I said forget it I just gave him the pair to have. Not even 20 minutes later that shoe was in a million shreds all over the living room.....so we have really got to find something that he will like to chew and will last longer than 30 minutes. Someone told me to try the deer antlers but I have yet to find anything like that. please any feed back is greatly appericated.

Hey guys~ 3MTA3 sent me over from the PBC. Looks like a fun place! She told me that some people were looking for antlers. I do not want to break any rules so PM me if your interested. I am going to PM infinity and ask about advertising.

Welcome to the site, I am sure you will get a couple PM's :)
Cash is very good about only chewing on "his items". That being said, he makes a special point to chew the crap out of them. He is on his 3rd extream kong, I use a large rope for play but the only thing I can give him to just chew on is uncooked cow bones.

Carrots are great consumable chew-toys for our dogs. They're cheap and the dogs love 'em.

Beef marrow bones are available at just about any meat market for a low price (Or free if you have a good relationship with your butcher). I believe Publix carries them as well.
I have them cut about 5-6 inches long and just store them in the freezer.

We have been very lucky with Tawny. She only chews on her toys. The only thing she really likes and cant destroy quicly are the large nylabones. She chews on them for hours.

You might try the bones. They are pretty cheep and you can get them at most buchers. They provide good nutriants and minerals and last a pretty long time. Make sure they are uncooked and they shouldnt have any trouble digesting them.
