We got one of FloorCandy's Cooling Mats, and I thought I would write a little review of our experience with it so far.

Love it! We got to try it for the first time last evening, and it worked really good. It stayed cool for over 3 hours and when we got home last night there were still ice chunks floating around in the ice packs. The extra ice packs kept in the cooler with some food and drinks were completely melted.

I was afraid that the mat would maybe get too cold or not cool enough, but the way it is made it seems insulate the ice packs so they melt slowly, and it stays just cool enough and it doesn't get wet as the ice packs start to get warm and sweat.

I was also afraid that the dog would not want to lay on it because of the ice packs inside, but we got the dogs used to the bed part at home without ice packs in it then it wasn't so strange to her when we put it in her crate with the ice packs in it. Also the bed is cushioned nicely so it doesn't feel too hard and uncomfortable underneath them, and the ice packs are slim and hard plastic so the dogs nails don't break it.

All in all I give it two thumbs up! The bed is very nicely constructed and makes for a comfy bed with or without the ice packs!

Here are a couple of Arson laying on it at home...

That's pretty cool! I know of one time We took about a 5 mile hike. It was pretty hot maybe like 90-95 and my dog was feeling the effects of the heat. Would of been nice to have something like this for sure.

And Idea might be to make them in standard crate sizes. So they will fit in his crate good. For when he is crated out side. Like at adba shows.

Yeah! I want one of these so bad, I need to get the extra money up! Its so hot at the shows, and in between weight pull it would be awesome to use to cool the dogs down.

whats the measurements on it?

the one we had made fits 4 ice packs and fits perfectly into your standard 36" wire crate when we get more money together we want to get a second...just wanted to see how it would work out first...
