in training section there's no thread for dockdiving. we have sch, agility and a few more. is it possible to suggest a dockdiving thread??? not trying to be a pain but a few of us are joining dockdogs or are looking into joining and figured that it would be a fantastic section to add since it is a great sport and could be useful for others who are interested in this sport whether it be for fun or competition.

Well, There are other sports so I didn't see why I had to post in none specific section when I could ask the owners of the site to see if we could have a dockdiving section aswell since it better fit in a "sport" catagory rather the no subject section.

it's probably because I don't think anyone on this site actually participates in dockdiving or we would have a forum just for that there's no since in having a forum nobody ever posts in taking up room..........JMHO

Just from what i have seen.... not very many people do Schutzhund or agility here either. (a very select few do or they do it for fun) there arent any big posts in either groups (sch only having 2 posts) Agility (4 posts) so why is dockdiving any diffrent from those two sections? jmho.

look all I was saying is there isn't anyone on here that does dockdiving what so ever or there would be a subforum for it I'm sure if you get into docking diving or if anyone does they will be more then happy to make you a sub forum for you to post in. and you said it yourself not very many people participate in the other sports (very many being the key words) but there are a few that is why there is a subforum. start a thread about dockdiving and what it takes and some benefits about the sport I bet they they will open a subforum

There is no Dock diving sub forum because no member/s so far have been in the sport. If you or anyone else have information to share and are into the sport, we would gladly set up a sub forum for it. You can also create a social group for it, if you wish.

I will be doing my first practice with dockdogs here on July 13 and plan on doing competitions with Riley and Spazz by next season and I have been reading like crazy about it and doing work with my dogs so I have some great info to share that I book marked for those who are interested in atleast learning about that sport and how to properly train for that sport.

Like some others have said. If some one posts some info on the sport and I see that it is a wanted feature I will add the sub-forum.

As for other sports not having many posts in them, there excuse was that they were here from day one. Not knowing if any one ever would post in them or not but are grandfathered in now.

Besides APBT and schutz Is a controversial sport in it's self.

No one sport is every ones bag. So as a famous quote once put it. Show me the money :) (money being a thread about the sport)

I'd like to see a spot for it too. Dosia and I are going to dock diving classes at the lake next month and are going to be competing in the future when he's ready :D I'd love to see more pits doing it. Were getting in with NorCal Splash dogs :D

LOL i have to say most of my dogs hate water so their reaction to jumping off a dock would be " OH HELL NO" lol.

there are other sports that arent covered in that area its cause their hasnt been alot of interest in it. I have one that im trying to train in Freebie compitions also known as disk dogs or skyhoundz and another one i thought about doing was canine freestyle.

lmao do you remeber Britians got talent. Well I have yet to see a pitbull do canine freestyle but their was a girl and her border collie that made it to the finals of britians got talent doing canine freestyle Its basically dancing, corgoraphy, with dogs. and there are compitions for it. Its like dancing doggy acting lol

Canine freestyle is basically obedience set to music. I co-chaired as well as competed in the 1998 'Footloose Fantasy Freestyle Event', which was held in conjunction with the Pup-peroni Obedience Classic in Houston. It is still one of the largest events of its type to have ever been held in the US, having exhibitors from all over the country.
