Selling Surplus 2010 Calendars to Benefit the Animal Relief Coalition for Haiti
Dear Friends of The Unexpected Pit Bull,
Thanks to your continued support, we once again met our goals to generously support pit bull rescue and advocacy groups. Many of you purchased your 2010 calendars during the pre-order stage, long before they were printed. Thank you for that vote of confidence! Thank you also for the emails and story submissions on our website. We are proud to be a part of this community.
While we've been so fortunate this year, there are others who have not been so lucky. Among those facing hardships this year are the survivors of the earthquake in Haiti. We will be selling our surplus calendars - which we usually print for promotional purposes - to raise funds for the Animal Relief Coalition for Haiti (ARCH). In order to sell as many calendars as possible for this cause, we will offer them at $10 each. 100% of the proceeds from all calendar sales through the end of February, 2010 will be donated to ARCH.
ARCH was created to address the needs of animals in Haiti in this time of crisis. The coalition is headed by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA), and consists of a number of animal welfare groups including the ASPCA, American Humane, Best Friends, the Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International (please visit their respective websites for more information).
