Anyone have a GOOD durable coat for their dog that they would like to share where they got it? Tanner has eaten two coats already and he has proven velcro doesn't work for this pitty.

Well none of mine have special made or ordered jackets, Penny has one being made now but she is special, lol. And the boys have theirs from Wal-Mart in the little boys section. They are cheap and durable and can be replaced easily if need be. Phoenix is a size 10/12 and Orion is a size 14/16 in little boys. Just a suggestion :D

I have a rain coat for Tutu but it is made more like a horse blanket. She doesn't mind it at all and when it is pouring rain all day she makes me put it on before she will go out:eek:

The front has buckles but the belly strap connects with velcro so I don't know if something like that would work for you.

These coats are awesome. They are a little pricey but you can customize them to your climate & dog. I believe all of them are washable except maybe the fully waterproof ones. The neckwarmers are awesome as well and definitely worth a look for these guys w/the short hair.

Just a thought but try looking for a website or feed store that suplies mini horses. A blanket for them might be small enough for the dogs.

None of mine wear coats but if they did I would look at walmart or somewhere that has little boys or girls coats they would probably be cheaper......

Yeah I tried the cheaper versions and they lasted about.....5 min. Guess Tanner will be SOL to be outside alone with a coat on this winter.

Another options is kid-sized vests and fleece jackets with the sleeves cut short. We use these and the elastic bands with the clips on either end (purchased at the fabric store) to gather them around the middle. They work great and are cheaper and more durable than what we've found.
