just wondering...i got notice of renewing my annual licence that i just paid for in january...

You can renew your dog license at the local Humane Society.
I don't license my dogs though. If BSL ever hits your area its a ready made hit list. :)

yeah i tried not licencing..for that reason. but the last few days of december i recieved a letter from the AC that i had 10 days to licence Peanut or they would send someone to my house (at the cost of $75 to me) to explain why i have to licence my dog..so i sent in the $100 and received Peanut licence in the mail in the beginning of January and today the mail came and they are asking for another $100 for another annual licence.
i called them already asking why my licence isn't lasting a full year and they said his rabies expires in july so i have to renew it. i asked if i could just get the rabies and send them the certificate and if i could use the same $100 i already paid them...they said no it requires a new $100!! i will co-operate because i do not want them to come to my house and take away my boy but dang it doesn't seem fair..its a lot of money for just a licence. i hope this one lasts longer then 6 months anyways.........

wow they are strict out there.
The Humane Society here knows I have unlicensed dogs...I pull with some of the ACO's they haven't said anything about it.

yeah i was pretty suprised that it didnt last like i thought it would. see i dont know how they even found out about Peanut.
My brother's dog was spayed by the humane society and she is still unlicenced and has not received anything.....

Thats what i thought to.... But some one told me it could go 2 ways if BSL was passed in your area.

1. An out right ban and the reg list would be a hit list.

2. A ban that would allow the reg pits to be grand fathered in and no new pits could be reg. In that case you might get screwed.

But i honestly dont know from experiance how it works.

the licsence should go along with the rabies tag and expire at the same time. how did you get your rabies shot without buying the licdence the first time?

Here it was an option they asked if i wanted to and i said no not right now. But i still got the shot and tag.

they gave him the rabies shot but that was it they didnt mention anything at all about his licence that was banfield though...he has a new vet now.

oooh one other thing that is on his license that i noticed..they have him listed for color as blue brindle....does this make a difference? i haven't said anything to them about it because i thought its not a big deal but i was talking to my mom about it and she said well if anyone is looking for him they wont find him...would this matter?

yeah but take a look at this. http://animalcontrol.citrus.fl.us/fees.htm the lic fee for a Dangerous Dog or Wolf Hybrid is 500$ damn the vet office told me it would cost 25 bucks maybe i should go back to there to get him lic. im sure they would try to consider brian "Dangerous".

me too! i think when i send in payment i may send them a note that his color needs to be changed from blue to chocolate brindle.
this makes me wonder how they got his information because they have wrong info.

Dang infinity i wish i lived there those prices are much better then here! i have to pay $100!!

here license is 15 bucks BUT they wont license pitbulls because they are not "listed" breed it just says "mixed breed" so they are looking for a "silver" mutt
