(update x 2) Member Status!

I added A feature! Im not sure If im going to keep it, Just testing it out now and trying to get it to a point that it works well on all browsers. Tested and working on IE and FF. Basically what it is, is a way to let others know what your doing or when you will be back or your mood any thing really. It will show up next to your avatar in your posts and profile. You can edit your status by clicking the edit button then typing in what you want and hitting the edit button again.

Any feed back will be welcome good or bad.

Ok I have been playing around with he code some Changed a few things. Like where its displayed its no longer above you title. And now if your status is not set it wont show any thing next to your avatar in threads.

I hated seeing has no status on ppls posts. some may never set a status so for a design choice. I made it to were it wont show any thing in your posts if you haven't set it.

Having said that to set your status if it has never been set you will have to go to your profile and set it that way. It will still display no status there and give you a edit option.

I really like the Status option Kev but now how do I add a "song"? I've tried to figure it out but... no luck. I'll check the forum later, gotta go back to the country. If Paula finds out I log'd on she'll kill me. LOL

Updated this option yet again. Tried a diffrent verion and was not feeling it. So I went back to a less intrusive heavily modified version of the old status.

The version i tested out for a day was to intrusive. And I was not able to write any custom code to make blank status's disappear off of members posts.

This version i am able to understand to code better and modified it so that if you never add status or blank your status out it disappears from under your avatar in your posts.

I feel that if you don't want to use it, it shouldn't be in your face annoying you.

You have to initially set your status in your profile in order to use the feature.

Sorry for being so wishy washy with it.
