as for price hillybilly are the cheepest any where and there not bad
if i was going to order one i would it would be from troy
just my two cent's
and i never will understand why you would want a drag sled with less drag with you want your dog to dog less work use less weight or am i over thinking her ?
Just ordered my Harness from Brown, he is a really cool guy and knows his stuff. We talked for quite a while, and he explained everything i need to know about harnesses. I am seeing him at the UKC pull next week, and he said he might have the harness ready by then. Woot!

5 months, Eddie Falin has all of Troy's harnesses and he let me try on his large puppy harness, and it fit pretty good, just a little loose. So thats what i am getting from troy a large puppy harness. But yeah i did ask him about the adult ones, because i know i will be getting that one in the coming months depending on how big Czar is going to get.

Hey I actually know those guys personally they live about ten minutes away. I get all my harnesses from them, and they do 'adjustable' non weight bearing harnesses if you want one for your dog to use until he's done growing (they can bear small abouts of weight i've seen them hold up to 100 lbs)
I like their product never had a problem with it.

Yah from now til 10 months your dog is gonna beast. I would waited to get a harness or grab one of these adjustable ones. I guess if you got money to burn fuck it. Don't pull alot of weight on a harness that doesn't fit though.

dan is close on that for training drag you can take a harness that is to big and ziptie at the neck and chest to make it fit while you can't compete like that it is fine to train in
an adba judge by the name of james rogers showed us that trick for diamond she is very small dog i am talking she might wear size 20 or 21 harness
PullDawgPits

Or you can use duct tape to make em fit for dragging.
Stephanie
i knew i was forgeting something and we were useing ducktape lol
but the tie's are great if you have more than one dog to work and one harness or in our case 9 dog's and 5 harnesses
but in leon case i would use tape as your dog get larger you can just unwrap some

We use Missy's too. We had Jimmy Allens before he quit making them. They are great harnesses.

missy's and jimmy's are almost identical. i heard missy taught jimmy how to make them and he sold for double what missy sells for. i have 1 missy's, 4 jimmy allens (didnt know about missy or could have got more), and 1 troy brown. and 1 mighty harness.
personally i like missy's and jimmy's more sized for your dog.
troy makes good harnesses just my dogs are odd sizes and troy dont make so they are to big. i like them to fit right and tight. troy is good friend, but everybody has their own opinions.
Whats the differance between the training and the competition harness?

Tablerock is swamped. As of RIGHT now,it takes about 3-4 weeks for harness to get to you.I spoke with her tonight and she getting her butt kicked. The training one is on the webpage and it says NOT for weight pull and thats how I understood her that its JUST to see if your dog like the harness and shows interest.BUt please correct me if im wrong...
here the link to training http://tablerockharness.com/TrainingHarnesses.htm then here the real deal.. http://tablerockharness.com/WeightPullHarnesses.htm maybe that better at helping u see the difference

Huge difference. Training is well for training. Not for weight pull. They are adjustable so you can train puppies to get used to the harness. You can not use the training harness for compo it will ether break or possibly hurt the dog. You may hook it to an empty or very light drag sled but that's about it. It for getting the dog used to the harness.
So at 20 mo old I should buy the competition harness and be done with it.

Yeah 18 months is a good age to really start weight training. Your dog is fully developed and done growing. And you cant use a training harness in a compo. If you don't plan on entering compo's or if you don't plan on pulling alot of weight (id say less then 50'lbs of resistance) Then a training harness should work. If it were me and my dog was 20 months old I'd just go ahead and get the full blown compo WP harness.

:yuk: i dont want to hear it blah odd size james r makes his dog by dog to fit the dog and you dont have any of his hmm i think you are pissed from the rain bow harness you gave size and didnt tell troy what color you wanted :D lol

i didnt get the harness from troy i got it from eddie, cause i needed at that moment cause the original one was destroyed, and troy didnt have any. and that was when troy first made them in all sizes, now he only makes in even sizes and my dogs are odd sizes. im not putting a size 24 on my dog when he needs a 23. or a 22 when we need a 21. call and ask him yourself, i have already been over this with him, last year.;)
as far as rainbow harness the dogs that wear it do pretty damn good. the two experienced dogs have only lost twice wearing it.:smiles:
as far as james r. havent had to get anymore so i dont know how he makes them, never tried one on cause havent needed to yet.

I would never buy a harness from someone that is not a competitive puller. There are a lot of people out there that make harnesses that dont even pull.Missy V has been pulling for over 20 years and knows how a harness should fit.

Tablerock does pull and has been pulling for years. They're dogs are old now though so they don't compete as hard as they have in the past.
Aside from them being friends of mine they have a good product. I also use them for all of my nylon and yard collars.
I am thinking seriously of ordering their training harness, since its adjustable, so i just have to buy one harness for all sizes. Anyone have experience with their training harness?

I can see why a training harness for puppies are good because when I put this on him to size it up right he was froze he did not want to move. I will have to work with him a little so he knows its ok to move while he is in the harness. this is actually the most still he has been in 9 months lol.
